SUMMARY·工作内容概述

The Belt and Road Program Director, CI China provides strategic support and programmatic oversight for projects and initiatives under the Belt and Road Program of CI in China. S/he is responsible for developing strategies, projects and initiatives and ensuring that they advance CI’s organization-wide goals and priorities related to China and the Belt and Road, through designing and delivering strategies and initiatives, project implementation and management, technical oversight and monitoring. The Belt and Road Program Director directly manages the Belt and Road Program team at CI China, coordinate with other CI Divisions, Units and Offices, outside partners and stakeholders especially governments, and ensures compliance with CI policies, program and funding agreements and China’s requirements.


KEY RESPONSERBILITIES·主要负责

STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT AND DELIVERY


  • Contributes to the development and refinement of the Belt and Road Program Strategy, in close coordination and collaboration with other relevant CI Divisions, Units and Offices;

  • Leads the development of project strategies, work plans and metrics, and ensures they are aligned with the Belt and Road Program Strategy, CI China Strategy and CI global strategies.

  • Effectively engages relevant teams and offices within CI and with stakeholders including donors, government, businesses and NGOs, technical experts and other partners important to program success.

  • Participate in various internal and external meetings, workshops, conferences and trainings as resources allow, to represent CI China on programmatic subjects and discussions in relation to Belt and Road.

     


PROJECT DEVELOPMENT, IMPLEMENTATION AND MANAGEMENT


  • Identify opportunities for the growth and development of the Belt and Road Program.

  • Regularly partner with the staff of APFD, HQ and other units and offices of CI on funding proposals and regional/global fundraising efforts.

  • Oversee and ensure the projects and initiatives under the Belt and Road Program, with a particular focus on China-centric ones, operate within the policies and procedures of the organization and comply with donor requirements, including proper burn rates

  • Monitor, measure, interpret, and share results on a regular basis. Distribute financial and progress reports; identify and implement refinements in work plans and strategies.

  • Lead information sharing and cross collaboration. Build stakeholder understanding and support through proactive communication efforts and related communication materials.


 

PEOPLE AND RESOURCE MANAGEMENT


  • Directly supervise team member/s of the Belt and Road Program in China, including overseeing the work of external partners.

  • Manages the program’s budget and finances. 

  • Manage public or private funds; ensure compliance with donor requirements and CI policies.


 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Assists in the organizational tasks and processes of CI China and CI in general

  • Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS·要求


  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years or more related experience.  Advanced degree preferred.

  • Direct project management experience, preferably in the conservation, NGO, advocacy or related arena.

  • Excellent technical and analytical skills. 

  • Excellent organization and time management skills.

  • 2-3 year’s experience supervising and motivating others including multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Team player and able to work effectively with diverse works groups in a multicultural environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A record of success in influencing and partnering with key stakeholders and raising funds.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, set priorities, and deliver quality results

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and under minimal supervision.


WORKING CONDITIONS·工作情况

  • Frequent travel to project site and other office locations.

  • Comfortable working out of doors for extended periods.

  • Ability to work extended work hours to meet project deadlines
